The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning signed eight Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with social, academic, and training institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the sidelines of the second edition of the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition.

The MoUs were signed on behalf of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning by Ms. Fatima Ibrahim Al Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry, with Al Khalifia Foundation, the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), Gulf University, Ahlia University, Applied Science University, Royal University for Women, American University of Bahrain, and British University of Bahrain.

Undersecretary Al Mannai emphasized that the signing of these agreements reflects the Ministry’s commitment to expanding its partnerships with academic, educational, and training institutions, while leveraging their expertise and capabilities to develop national talent, enhance skills, and promote professional learning opportunities.

She explained that the MoUs establish frameworks for cooperation in training, knowledge exchange, and the sharing of expertise, enabling the development of programs and initiatives that respond to the Ministry’s operational needs. She also highlighted the importance of integrating institutional expertise with academic knowledge to improve performance efficiency and keep pace with developments in the housing and urban planning sector.

The signing of these MoUs further reflects the Ministry’s continued commitment to exploring cooperation opportunities that contribute to developing the housing and urban planning sector by engaging educational and training institutions in talent development and supporting professional development pathways related to the sector.
